X-ray Testing - RT

RT is an advanced non-destructive testing method used to detect internal defects in various materials and complex geometries.

Principle: Ionizing radiation (X-rays or gamma rays) penetrates the material and is attenuated to varying degrees depending on its thickness and density. Any defects or voids allow more radiation to pass through, producing a clear image on the radiographic film.

We provide radiographic X-ray testing using film, both in our CNCAN-authorized laboratory and on-site at our clients’ facilities.

Penetrant Testing - PT

PT reveals open surface discontinuities in any non-porous material.

Principle: The penetrant liquid enters the cracks, the excess is removed, and the developer brings out the defect. Inspection can be performed under white light (color contrast) or UV light (fluorescent) for maximum sensitivity.

We offer penetrant testing

  • With color contrast
  • Fluorescent
  • In our laboratory as well as on-site

Ultrasonic Testing - UT

UT detects deep internal defects (up to 6–7 meters), with high sensitivity and precise localization.

Principle: High-frequency sound waves are introduced into the material. The reflections produced by internal discontinuities are analyzed to accurately determine their location and size.

Offered techniques:

  • Pulse-echo
  • Phased array
  • Bond testing for delaminations in composite materials

Eddy current testing - ET

ET (Eddy Current Testing) detects surface and subsurface discontinuities in conductive materials. The method is also ideal for material sorting, measuring wall thickness, and determining coating thickness

Principle: A coil energized with alternating current generates eddy currents within the conductive material. Any discontinuity disturbs the magnetic field, which is detected and displayed as a clear signal on the instrument screen.

Offered techniques:

  • Surface probe testing
  • Testing of the second and third material layer
  • Conductivity measurement
  • Thickness measurement and surface layer thickness measurement

Magnetic Testing - MT

MT detects surface-breaking and near-surface discontinuities in ferromagnetic materials.

Principle: The component is magnetized, creating a magnetic leakage field at discontinuities. Fine ferromagnetic particles are attracted to these areas, clearly outlining and highlighting the defects.

Offered techniques:

  • Testing on fixed equipment – magnetic bench – in our laboratory
  • Magnetic yoke testing
